For those of you still reading to the end of the post we had three black bears in our yard this evening. I missed it since I was walking the floor with a fussy baby. I have two of my sister's girls overnight. The baby is usually very happy but not tonight. Apparently no one has told her the sleep over rules ... no fussing just fun! Anyway our neighbors across the street saw a mother black bear with her two cubs in our front yard. When my husband drove in tonight the neighbors stopped to tell him. We live in a rural area so it's not a huge surprise. We've just never seen any. Three summers ago a neighbor saw a moose in our yard,. Yeah we missed that too!

I love the little blue bird. What a wonderful job you did! Now, moose and bears??? I think they may trump by dolphins and manatees!
Oh, those little birds are just darling! What a fun idea.
We're going to Alaska this fall and I'm praying we se bears. We visited Yellowstone a few years ago and always just missed seeing them. Lots of moose, elk, deer, etc. - but not one Yogi Bear!
oh wow, bears and moose!! i hope youre rural!!i like the middle chick and the one you sent, they are sweet! and more you
Your birds are just so lovely :)
The animals sound very exciting....we might see a stray kangaroo in the bush near us or a wombat...but your moose and bear sound much more interesting!

Those little birds are so sweet! I love the fabric. You did a great job on them.
How cute is the swap doll Nature Girl received?? The little braids? Ah, it's adorable.
Love that! I always wanted to sew and that career started and ended in 8th grade Consumer Living when i attempted to make a pillow. haha
Bears and moose! What fun! I hear moose really aren't very nice, but they are so gnangly that I love to look at them. Have you read Thidwick, the Big-Hearted Moose (by Dr. Seuss) to Nature Girl yet? It was one of my favorites when I was a kid.
The plush toys look very cool -- what a wonderful exchange!
I love the birds (and the little doll too!) I've just started making a few stuffies and really enjoy them. We ought to have an apron and stuffie swap! :-)
