I just saw this button on Karen's blog this morning and was curious. I had to check it out. I'm glad I did, I love this idea! The idea is to wrap a baked good in an apron, tuck in a prayer or note of encouragement in the pocket and deliver it to someone in need. I know I have a few extra aprons I've sewn(yes, because I'm apron obsessed) so plan to try this. How fun is it to spread kindness and apron love?!!
I don't remember my mom or Gram wearing aprons to cook but Thanksgiving was always a time filled with family and fun! This Thanksgiving I'll be wearing my apron and hope someone else will be enjoying the apron I've wrapped up and sent their way. Wow! You are getting a early start today :) We are going to tie the NTOOD into a women's ministry event. Our church is small and the women have been asking for a sewing lesson of some sort. I found a great apron pattern that only takes 1 hour to sew and less than a yard of fabric, so it will be great for beginners. I'll post the link to the pattern on my blog in the next few days. Thanks for the link to my blog! Have a great day!
Yeah it's a great idea. Last year I gave to my daughter. I'm thinking of who will get one this year, probably one of her friends.
What a great idea. I love the idea of giving a baked good and apron to someone in need ~ and more importantly words of encouragement. I think I know just the person to send to.
